Is there anything called fate?

Technology does not believe in the fate. Every happening has a reason behind that could be established by scientific theories or calculations. Do you beleieve in fate?
I belive that something called fate is there but I do not what it is and how does it work. For exanple my friend and myself bought lottery tickets with first prize of 5 million dollar. In draw my friend won the first prize, I did not get anything. My friend's fate or luck let him get the prize. But waht is that fate or luck caused him to get so much of money out of a two dollar ticekt? How to control or manage that? Who controls the fate or luck? I am confused, do you have any answer??

I don't believe in luck or fate. What has to come for you will come. How do you determine what HAS to come for you? You see every action has an equal and opposite reaction. And not all reactions come back to you at once. A hard work in one life might reap the benefits in another. Just like it takes time to sow the seeds and reap the harvest, it takes time to reap the benefits (or bad effects) of all our actions. Just because we have not seen the cause doesn't mean it is not there. So, in a nutshell, Fate is something that we create ourselves.

I believe in fate but not luck so much. There was a book i read caled think lucky to be lucky and it was all about how to take the most out of faste and how to create your own luck by developing a mentality that you are lucky. Fate i think is more difficult to understand, as it is so hard to explain certain things.

i believe in fate that leads us in a certain direction and when we are there then it is our choice to take it or leave it. your friend could have gone with you to purchase ticket but changed their mind. how often are you in a position and you have a choice .. turn left or right .. up or down .. eat or drink .. talk or stay silent.. fight or flight .. fate takes you so far but you have to choose remainder.
