Have you ever had one of these days?I was laying on the bed taking a nap? The door bell rang scared the crap out of me, I jumped up real fast, knowing I am not fast anymore, ran into a chair stomped my toe, that hurt like the dickens, fell back on the bed, almost missed the bed said a few chosen words. Finally I made it to the front door, and it was the newspaper man collecting his money. He asked me was I alright. I must have been looking awful. Have you ever stomped your toe?

I haven't stomped my toe in a while, but I did have a similar experience. I was sick one week and really tired for the whole week. I was waiting for my maintenance man to come by my apartment one day and it was taking a long while, so I fell asleep. When he did come, he knocked so loud and I rushed to get up. I was sick, so when I got up I was all dizzy and my head felt heavy. I ended up running into our entertainment center while walking to the door and then almost fell over when I did open the door. (Our entertainment center is right there when you walk in our apartment). The maintenance man looked at me like I was crazy and just laughed.

Oh yeah.... so many times that I've lost count!! One time when I was 18 years old and with my boyfriend, he got angry with me and picked me up and swung me around and around and hit my foot in the door way and broke my toe and foot on my left side. I left him that day. Another time is at home with my husband and we were on the screened in porch watching the rain and I turned to go inside to get something and I stubbed my toe against a cat scratching post and broke it. Oh yeah it hurt!! Both times it hurt like hell!!

No, the second time it was my right toe. However, both were my baby toes. The left one has barely a toe nail left to it because it was so swollen that I guess it cut off the oxygen supply that it couldn't grow back like it once was. Talking about hard to paint, lol... I always make a mess on that one toe but at least it gets painted to match the rest of them. lol

Oh Yes! My daughter and son-in-law bought me a couch for my birthday this summer. Well it has a leg in the middle that protrudes out a little. My last couch only had the four legs. Anyway I broke a toe by forgetting about that extra leg. Boy it brought me down for a few minutes..Ouch!

Well, that was bad. My situations are also somewhat like that. The thing is, I just am fast sometimes and do not notice some things and usually end up having some real bad injuries. Whenever I'm at home, I'm rudely awakened by a harsh ring of the door bell. It sucks, but can't really have to let go off a door. There have been countless situations with them and I don't really have them in my mind, but one moment I can clearly recognize happened some days ago when a new chair was put in the aisle connecting the hall and my bedroom. In my slumber, I banged my toe very hard into it, but luckily nothing happened. It's fine and I'm all rite.. bourne

Yes, I've definitely had experiences like that! I would suddenly decide to take an afternoon nap and all of a sudden the buzzer on the door would blare away! Noise! Panic! Up off the bed in a semi-dozi state eventually banging my knee on my computer chair! I guess that tends to happen! There's just something about the door bell going! You just have to answer it! Why can you not just slowly wake up, scream at the top of your lungs "Just a moment!" and slowly stagger to the door? I'm sure this is a lot safer! I guess when we are sleeping though we do lose our concentration! I wouldn't give up the afternoon nap for the world though! Andrew

Hi chevee! Hope your toe feels better! I have done that so many times and broken every toe on both feet more than one time each and that is from walking or should I say running into walls, hitting my foot on chairs or whatever is in my way. Usually the same way you did by being woken up and not being fully awake or getting up and walking around in my dark apartment and walking into things that are left in places that they shouldn't be. I actually have toes that have been so badly broken that they are crooked since they never really healed right and then were broken again. I am such a clod! I am always walking or funning too fast. In fact, today I was having an argument with boyfriend and the pants I was wearing were too long and I had rolled them up. I ended up tripping over them and falling face down on the floor. I'm yelling for him and he has his cd player on with his ear plugs and since we were fighting thinks I'm joking about being on the floor! I'm screaming that I fell and he's going yeah right! When I got up finally and went in there and showed him my skinned knees I really was angry! I could have really hurt myself. I already re-injured my sprained knee. It is all swollen now again now! He's such a jerk!

Ouch! Stubbing your toe really hurts, and sometimes it can break he toe without you knowing! I think you should rest your foot, that's what i do when i whack my toe hard.
