Do you believe in luck?

Do you think some people are really lucky while others aren't? the concept of luck seems to go against fate, destiny, and hard work. But sometimes, there are things that cannot be explained except to attribute it to luck. What are your thoughts on this?

i m very lucky to say that i m believe in luck. b/cos it is proved by me in my life many times.
and after that some incidents with me in my luck now i am totally believe in luck.
but wait there is one thing in which luck have opportunity to came to the top and that is LOVE.
in which luck can not make anything.

that is why i am using short name Prince Sad.
and about luck and love , so i love only one thing in these two. that both are start from the " L " .
and i think it is nice for me.

The missing link here, I believe, is that we all have many lives. We all make our own luck or "karma". For Christians, there is the quotation in the bible, that we "reap what we sow", there are probably similar sayings within the other traditions. Sometimes, we all have 'tough' periods where we do a lot of work, with no or little rewards. It is but putting foundations down to build on for the future. And what of people who appear to have 'good' luck? Are they really happy? Or just feeling really empty inside, despite been materially well off?
To answer your question, I think things balance over time. It is just that there maybe a long time lag. Basically, we make our own luck. -"God" helps those, who help themselves... ;~)

That could be one aspect. Another, that it makes life more interesting. Or, it could be what we want to have a challenge. Could be any number of reasons. In fact, there is a widely held 'new age' believe, that outside of the human dimension, there is no such thing as time! :~)

I don't believe in luck but i believe in opportunity, time and opporunity work together and if someone is able to utilize it, the person will be taken to higher level in life.
So opportunity is what i believe in but not luck!

Hmm, I dont really try to measure things that are uncertain especially when I have no control over them in the time being. I just live my life as best I can, whether there might be some unknown forces (luck being one among them) I just dont know and I guess its just up to them to work their magic or something. Live life to the best of my ability and never forget to enjoy along the way.^_^

I believe in blessings and luck, for instance the lady across the street from me has been out of work for about 4-5 years, she wasn't old enough to retire when she first was out of work, for the life of me I can not see how she makes it but she does, now she has reached retirement age and drawing a check, I asked her how did she do this she said she didn't know she was just lucky.
Am I lucky I don't feel lucky, I feel I am blessed. I feel blessed that I have made it this far in life. I have struggled through it all and made it this far. Would you consider that lucky or blessed? I don't mean to answer a question with a question just a thought and would like someone else thoughts on this.
