How do you make your own washing powder?

I have never made my own washing powder before. But if I was to, I would put Freesia as the fragrance in it.. Then I would mix it with Jasmine.. This would be a great idea for washing powder.. It may could save money, it just depends on what all you put into it to make it. Washing powder is expensive, that is why I just use ones that cost around $2.75.

I don't know how to even start to make washing powder. I thought it might be a way to save some money. We have had to start using our heat because it is cold and we heat with gas and it is expensive. My mother gets a social security check and I don't work outside the home because I help take care of her. She can't hear hardly anything. Thank you for your response, it is appreciated.
