I live in what is essentially a boarding school. You cant have any pets at all, and they check the rooms frequently. Sometimes thoroughly, sometimes not. I really want a pet though (preferably a hamster) is there a way to hide a pet where it will still be safe.

I don't know whether you can secretly have a pet, if your room is frequently being checked. What are they checking for? It really wouldn't be fair to the pet, because if they found it, what would they do? Are you notified when they will check, or is it randomly? A hamster is a quiet pet. I once smuggled my cat into a hotel room. They actually allowed pets that is why we took her, but when we went to check in, we saw that you had to pay a $250.00 unrefundable fee for pets. It was so funny, we covered her up in a large scarf that I had, but her tail was hanging out. Whenever we left the room, we would hide her litter box and food. We were there for three days and no one knew she was with us. It was really funny trying to keep anyone from seeing her.
