I work at a fast food burger chain primarily in California called In-N-Out and I 've always thought it was really cool how fresh everything really is, and you know they really don't advertise what it is they actually go through. It's really unique. First off there are positions at In-N-Out where you actually search the world for the freshest produce out there. Everything comes as it is, and is never frozen. The tomatoes are full tomatoes that we clean, core, and slice ourselves at each store, the lettuce is heads of lettuce we wash and leaf ourselves, and the onions we peel and slice ourselves. Everything has a time limit on when we have to use it by, like produce we can only have tomatoes for so many days and they can only be sliced for so many hours. The beef patties are literally cow you your stomach in a maximum of 6 days. Our fries are actually from sacks of potatoes that are shipped to us and we clean, peel, and slice them, and fry them in cottonseed oil. They're never frozen! It's all pretty awesome actually and no one has any idea!
