I am geting an eeepc soon. I am just wondering if anyone has one. If so what are they like. I do alot of typing and data entry. I am wondering if they are actually good computers. Give me your opinion!

I don't feel the need for a portable computer right now,but the Eee PC does and would appeal to me as a very portable little websurfing machine purchase..I don't touch type,so can't say how good it would be to an expert who might need to type fast! One of my electronics email newsletters mentions another unbranded "webbook" for under £140...below $300..that's good pricing!

As far as I know, the Eee's don't come with a DVD or CD Drive, but if you just want to email and websurf and do a little work through a wifi connection,it should be just the Job...and getting one as a freebie too?! What bank do I have to sign up with to get one?! So far,I've only heard of a couple of ISP's and cellphone providers offering computers as a sweetener, which seemed to work out to be quite an expensive way of getting a laptop..

I have got an Eee PC and love it, i take it with me all around the house. It works well with the Wifi at home, and do all of my reading of articles and websurfing on it.

I think EEE pc is like a toy not a real computer but a really expensive toy
