Does being happy means your life is perfect? Of course not!

Being happy is really a state of mind. I am sure that a lot of us have noticed that man/woman has no satisfaction. We always want something new or something else. That is not bad. In fact, that is one way of living. However, it is best that while we are trying to reach our goal, our dreams, we must learn to stop and look and what we have at the moment. In other words, it is still the half-empty-half-filled glass of water dilemma. It is how we look at things. We may be sad that something bad happened to us, like being dumped by a boyfriend. Then you have a choice. To moan and sulk. Or to call our girlfriends and spend time with them, enjoying the other pleasures life is offering us. It's a matter of choice. It's a state of mind.

Being happy is how people look at life. Whoever can be easily satisfied will be the happiest person in the world but whoever who is very hard to be pleased seldom find the life perfect. It is one's attitude which will determine what is happiness.

hi, cocooreo i think so too. people who are hard to please are miserable. it is not wrong to ask for perfection but i guess that is only true on some things. do not waste the opportunity to find joy with what is around. right?

being happy is not only a state of mind but it takes a concientious effort to be happy. Life is full of ups and downs...just the way it is. I don't understand people who let themselves stay down when down but it happens. I'm not even sure that they can help it. As many have, I have had my share of bumps and bruises along the way. I don't like the feeling of being sad or angry and it is my goal when in those moods to find a way to get back to feeling good again...somehow...someway. Sometimes it really is work but it is worth it. To me, it is a choice but somehow, I think those that suffer depression would say that it is not. I do feel bad for those that are for whatever reason unable to pull themselves out from the negativity. It has to be a horrible spot to be stuck in.

I agree with you, if we learn to love what we have, who we are with, then when our goals are met, we will be more content, why be miserable meantime when some goals can take some time to acomplish? I totally agree with you,

literally "NO", there can be no perfect life in this world not even close to a perfect life but only a fair life. nonetheless it's just my own opinion. it's a natural human response of not being satisfied with their kind of life or the way things go with them. humans always look and try to become perfect in the eyes of others and so goes the same with the other human being trying to become more perfect than what they are seeing. it's really a matter of self contentment, satisfaction and gratification for us to say at least that life for us is indeed perfect. we can't be and will never be perfect in the eyes of other human being.

i agree with you..being happy with this life doesn't your life has to be perfect..i don't believe that there is a perfect life in this world..what we do in our lives is what we chose to be..life is a matter of choice..people who are happy are people who doesn't have all of what they want, its just that they appreciate every little thing that they have and that what makes them happy..unhappy people are people who are looking of more of what they cannot have..we have to greatly understand that we cannot have anything we wish to have, so what we can do is be happy and content of what we have..appreciate little blessings that comes in everyday life..like when we wake up in the morning and be greatful for another day..be thankful that we live each day still no matter how difficult life is, that we manage to eat in every day when we struggle so much in life..that we have home to shelter us when someone else is homeless..that we have a job when others are having it hard to find one.. there are so many things that we should be thankful to have and with that we should be happy enough we still live each day and that is an everyday blessing
