Etsy or Ebay

Where so you prefer to sell? I personally like Etsy better. It may not have the traffic that Ebay has, but it's growing more every day. And you can't beat the listing prices (unless it was free LOL). Twenty cents for four months is a great deal to me and the final closing price is just basically pennies on the dollar. Ebay has gotten so money hungry and fee crazy, it's hard to make a profit on there.

for me both. etsy is cheaper yes but ebay has more exposure. Well, Etsy is getting there espcially the way ebay has done folks the last few years. But the web site works really well for me and word of mouth. Raggedyrhondas

i like etsy because the stuff seems to be more artsy (for lack of a better word) and a bit more creative and you are right, the listing prices are much cheaper on etsy than ebay. i really like etsy because it is a very creative site.

Etsy is a wonderful site, but it's strictly for selling at fixed prices; it's not an auction site. It will probably never be as big as eBay because it specializes in just one area, but it's still huge. I used to sell there, and if I ever have the time to get back to my crafts, I will again. It's also a great place to buy craft supplies.

Since I don't believe I'd ever sell my handmade items on eBay for the same as I receive on Etsy, I'd have to say I prefer Etsy. I do sell (well actually the hubby) on eBay and for what he sells, there is no better place. But if you sell handmade goods, then there is no better place to sell them , then on Etsy.com!
