After dinner tonight I am making popcorn balls. I am going to dye them orange to keep with the whole Halloween thing. I did orange Rice Krispie Treats earlier today with candy corn in them, Oreo cookies dipped in chocolate and sprinkled with orange sugar, and Toffee covered popcorn(not orange). What Halloween treats are you fixing up? Do you like popcorn balls?

I love pop corn ball, I think we will make a chocolate cake with halloween decorations and take it from there.

I saw the cutest Halloween cake in a magazine. It had tombstones made out of store bought butter cookies and marshmallow Peeps ghost on it.

It sounds like you are in the halloween mode! Making treats is always fun. I have never made popcorn balls, but that sounds like a fun idea. I may have to try it. I just made a pumpkin roll yesterday for my husband. he keeps seeing them in the store bakery and wants to buy them all the time. They are so expensive, I decided to just make my own.

I have some extra pumpkin so I thought about making pumpkin muffins and putting the cream cheese mixture in the middle of the muffins. I wonder if it will work out or if the filling will get yuck. I am going to try it.

YUM! I made some pumpkin muffins last night and I had some leftover cream cheese frosting to spread on top. The kids loved them even without the frosting.

Here is the way I make my halloween popcorn balls every halloween for all our little ghosts an goblins who come to trick or treat. which is mostly kids of our friends since we live in the country. 8 cups popcorn 1 cup candy corn 1 bag of marshmallows 1/4 cup butter - plus extra to grease hands Preparation: In a large mixing bowl pour in candy corn and popcorn. Melt the butter in a saucepan. Then melt marshmallows, stirring consistantly. When the marshmallows are melted, pour over the popcorn and candy corn. Mix together with a large spoon. Be sure candy corn gets mixed in as it weights more than the popcorn and tends to go to the bottom of the bowl. When cool enough to handle, grease hands with butter and begin forming 2-inch balls. Makes 15 - 20 balls.

I love popcorn balls. We don't make them however, well at least I've never made them before. I tend to buy mine from the store. I just bought a few the other day from Target. I'm pretty excited about breaking into them eventually.

Oreos dipped in chocolate. Now we are talkin! We can leave off the orange sugar for me please. Toffee covered popcorn, I'll try that too. I am almost too tired to be creative this Halloween. So all of our stuff will be store bought.

My son wants some dipped in white chocolate for him. He does not really like milk chocolate. I was thinking of making a big treat basket for my brother and his family since we are going trick or treating at their house.

I love the Rice Krispie Treats idea. As for popcorn balls..I love them but I can never make them very good. I think you have to have special training for that! LOL I did fix pumkin pie and pumkin bread the other day and want to try my hand at pumkin fudge before the weekend. Happy Hallowen!
