If you are not going to use for very advanced work, would suggest buy a Core 2 Duo,2 GHz, 160 GB Hard disk, 2GB RAM,17" LCD monitor. Now you can have additional graphic cards if you intend to play games.Keyboards, Mouse are of personal choice. Well why not go for a laptop, it is really worth paying some extra bucks for a laptop. And about brands- Dell is the best - price is great, a lot of congigurable options online. I am using a Dell Laptop - Lattitude D630, and really happy about it. OS- Win XP is good, but Microsoft have stopped support , don't know if they still sells. Vista is good, but still new. Now it is your choice...

Hey buddy, thanks for the info you have given about. Well i have rounded up the same configure as you have said but i cant afford a graphics card yaar. They are damm too expensive in India. That would kill me to my jeans and all. Lol. Well instead of that i am going on for a 19 inch lcd widescreen. Would love that more. lol. Just another rs 1000 Difference bettween that and a 17 inch. Well i like desktops much better. Becasue i keep on working here online on and even study and download alot of things here from the internet . So laptops would get hot very very fast and then it would be a very big problem . lol. Hehe. Well anyways thanks for replying here 2 me and happy mylotting to me:)

Good luck on your new computer search. I have an Emachine and it works really well. I have Windows XP as my operating system also. I know alot of them come out with Vista now though.

Hey step, Well Emachines arnt here in india as far as i know. I know i will go with a asembled computer with windows xp only , cant afford Vista becasue vista might crash evrything for me and i really dont like vista also. Well windows is much better and has a nice user interface also .lol. Well nowdays all the computers come out with vista but vista is bad , Vista is all professional only other than that, if you sit like that at home use , it is bad. Windows xp is the best thing to have as an operating system on our computer. Well anyways thanks for replying here buddy and happy mylotting to you :)

what do you do most on your pc? you see, there are lots of different specs for a certain pc. you have to determine first if you'll be makin' a gaming pc, or a video editing pc, or just simply a business pc's..
