The stars indicate the completeless of a persons posts. I do not think that they affect your earnings, but you will get your star after 100 posts. You can paste discussions after 500. As for earning $1.00 a day, you will need to post 50 to 100 good quality posts and adding some images would help. It is possible to earn $1.00 a day without referrals. Star is the measure of ratings you receive for your discussions. You will get a star once you reach 100 posts. The more positive ratings your discussion receives the better star you have. Blue is top star for 10 rating. Also they do not have much impact on your earnings. Earnings depend on participation, i.e the more you participate more you earn. Also if you want to earn 1$ a day you need to post a minimum 60-70 discussions everyday. All the best.
