If you could choose the when and how of your own demise?

Death is inevitable and unavoidable but we would all like to avoid going there for as long as possible. If you were given the option of choosing the when and how of your own demise, what would your choices be?

If I were to choose, I'd rather die in the arms of someone who genuinely loves me. One tear of pure love (not pity, not sadness, not pain) is what I would like to see on my deathbed. How I die, I don't care as long as it is in the presence of love.

I would agree. If I had the choice, I would like to die in the arms of the man I love...actually we make jokes that we both plan on living to 150 then to die with mutual coronary's at THE moment...just hope it is the neighbors who find us like that though and not one of the great grandchildren ;)

That is such a sweet thought. I am though, not as ambitious about the length i want to live. I have no basis for believing this, but i do believe I will live to be 52 years old. No younger, no older. So that leaves 20 years to go. Looking forward. Hope she is around when the time comes to bid the world adieu :-)

if i could choose to die, i will like to be on the beach, surrounded by my loved ones and slowly breathe my last.

I think I am like the majority of people when I say I would like to die in my sleep. I know some will say something which involves an adrenaline rush or something similar, but for me sleep is the way to go. I don't want to be too old either as I would hate to become a burden on someone else.
