All my life I have always wanted to become a fighter pilot, Now I'm 18 years old and I have started to take the steps towards my dream. I understand that becoming a fighter pilot is very competitive but I'm will to put forth my maximum effort to protect this country from any threat, be it land, sea, or air.

I talked to my recruiter today here in ohio and everything is on track. Don't let the recruiter push you into a carrier you don't want to do. If you don't think the recruiter is being fair remember you don't have to stick with that one you can change to another one. There are good and bad recruiters out there. Also they will show you awsome videos of different carrier don't let the videos make your disision. Those videos are there to entice you into making a disision on the spot. Also sometimes there aren't any openings in the position you want. The only advice I can give you here is you need to hold out if that is what you want and posibly look at other branches of the military that can accommidate you. I wanted to go into helicopter repair the first time I enlisted, watches the videos went into tanks which in the army is 19K. I was already liscenced by the FAA but watched the tank video and loved it. As I had already stated in an earlier post the worst thing I ever did was get outso I am going back into tanks. wish you luck and if you need anything in the future let me know.

I am joining the Army as well or should I say re-enlisting. I think its a great experience for someone of your age. I served in Macedonia for 6 months while I was in and it was awsome to see the kids come running out when we would come into there town. I am 33 now and should be signing the papers in January. Please do it and stay in. The worst thing I ever did was get out.

on my case, i never dream of being a pilot.. maybe thats y it not really for me..ill tell u a story bout how i almost become an airforce of the philippines, on my "years of rebellion" to my family.. my dad had enough on me, he let me join the Philippine airforce, i have no choice then but to follow his decision, I'd pass all the series of exam (physical, mental)against my will, (LOL). the time i went to the Clark Air base in the philippines for my Panel interview, their were this army waiting for their ammo and ready to go to battle..we share stories and this man inspired me and guess what, i made the panel smiled at me..but then i recieve a misinformation saying that i was disqualified to join the service, so i enrolled to college in our town. then at dec. i recieve a phone call from Airforce and asked me if im ready for my training at the jan..,i was shock and surprise, but i have no choice but to pursue my college year. ===================================================================================== s0 if you have the change and you think your qualified, go grab the opportunity and hold it tight and never let go of it.
