Kudos to John McCain

I fell asleep and missed SNL last night, but I've been watching clips of John McCain on SNL all morning and loving it. He not only was a good sport, but managed, in working with the SNL writers, to insert all of his talking points (and I don't use that as a slur) into the skit. The clips I've seen so far have managed to point out the disparity in ad spending (all we could afford was a QVC show), his sponsorship of the McCain-Feingold bill (McCain Fine Gold Collection) and his promise to cut pork barrel spending (Pork Knives). All in all, it was funny, it was well-done, and if anything, it showed him in a positive light. Of course, I haven't seen the entire show so I'm only seeing it through the clips that MSNBC has chosen to show, so I may be off the mark, but from what I see - hats off to both SNL and McCain. Did you see the show? What did you think?

I only saw the clips they are showing on the news this morning. I have to say they are funny. Who knew. McCain has a sense of humor. Too bad he was not doing this kind of stuff 6 months ago. Waiting til the last minuate is not going to help him much.

I find it really interesting that McCain has been able to get his message out to the American people through various FREE appearances without spending millions of dollars on "infomercials".
