I am allergic to milk and I have drank soy milk for years now. I still have to buy milk for the rest of the family and such but my son said that soy milk has all kinds of female hormones and estrogen and stuff in it and that is not good for people to drink it. Well, I have been breastfeeding so will it harm my son?????

Soy naturally has things in it that increases female hormone production in your body -- it doesn't have hormones in it, it works with -your- hormones. I don't think it'll effect your son much, because it's only working with your body and you've been drinking it for years so you wouldn't be feeding him anything that wasn't already there and he's fine so far, isn't he? I think your son just misread it, because the only weird effects soy milk's ever had has been on men who consume alot of soy products in their diet (since it increases female hormones, they just find it harder to grow beards mostly lol). No big thing.

soy milk tastes great with coffee a delicious treat and i guess it's a prejudice with this feminine side of soy in large amounts perhaps yes, but then who would devour litres of it;)
