Abortion.....How do you feel

I am pro choice. Women can & should have the right to choose what happens within their bodies. Women who are not ready to or who do not wish to be parents should have the option of safe, and legal terminations.

I personally believe it's up to the mother to decide what is best for her. I just had my first child, my DD, back in May and can't imagine my life without her. However, pregnancy and childbirth isn't for everyone, so abortion should remain a safe and legal choice for women who do not wish to be pregnant.

I would never have an abortion but I respect other people's choices to have one. I think education would help teens understand how to avoid getting pregnant. If a lady is raped she could have the morning after pill from a chemist to avoid conception happening. I know that adoption gives life to the baby and he or she gets to live with a loving family. Some ladies are against having a disabled baby so would abort if they are found to having a Down Syndrome baby for example. My second son has spina bifida and he is a lovely child. In some countries abortion is illegal and that is wonderful but sadly back street abortions still go on. In my home country the limit is 24 weeks and I think that is far too late. If it was 12 weeks that would be better. A lady can find out she is pregnant at 4 weeks pregnancy, at the time of her missed period.

I feel that abortion is the woman's choice. It is up to her to make the decision that she feels is right. However, as it has been mentioned, it should be used within reason and not as a form of birth control. I think that there is a fairly large different between the two.
