Have you tried viewing your profile or your discussions without logging in. try it. or else search for info on the search engine (google) and you will get mylot info displayed. I recently found this when i searched thru google. ok discussions are publicly viewable. i can understand this as mylot pays us and makes money out of these information. but why are all profiles and the contents you put in there are all viewable? i don't understand that? is it good or bad? Now i tend to worry about the personal messages we send. are they also viewable publicly? Share your views.

What will happen if our profile shown publicly? It is okay for to show discussions but my privacy I am worried. Well, I will try to go search that in goggle and other search engine. So we must be careful for what we are writing here for it will show in public. Anyway it is in us how do we manage all this things just write properly.

Yes,all the contents here are available for public viewing. Someone here posted some few weeks ago about this same thing so I came to learn about this thing. Yes, it kind alarming to know that everything is for public viewing so we really have to be very careful about what we write and display here and in our profile. However with our private messages I think they should be kept secret because that is why it is called private because it is supposed to be private. I don't know if the private messages are for public viewing as well. I hope not!

I'd like to confirm that private messages are not available for others . The messages can be seen by only the sender and the receiver . No one else will be able to look at them . Mylot administrating team members are not interested in viewing the members' individual messages . they will see our messages if and only if they get complaints on spamming .

I have not notice that before you said. Maybe I will have a check later. I think it does not matter whether our comment will be senn throught the search engine, like someone said it was benefit to both mylot and us. Just take it easy and happy mylotting.

First I'd say that the personal messages are not viewable to any other persons . Even the administtarting team is not interested in peeping over our personal messages unless they get a complaint on any spamming activity . so be assured . And all the discussions and the profiles can be easily seen by general public . this is for the benefit of both Mylot and us . we have a good referral system here through which quarter of earnings of referrals is added to the referred members ; if general public can not see the content on this site then they may not be interested in joining here . if so we lose the chances of getting new referrals hence lose the referral earnings !

Yes I knew that this happened, I found out about it a few months ago and I was quite surprised by it. Since then I do tend to think about what I am putting on if I am doing a discussion, I mean I do not say anything about anyone that they do not know about but I would not like to think of certain other people I know coming across things that I write about.

So much of what we post online is viewable, even things we think are at least semi-private. Even when you think you've deleted things, you can often times find them archived.

Private messages are most likely not viewable by the public - only the person whom you've sent the message to may receive them. On the other hand, discussions are purposely left open so more people may find them and discover our little community here, and maybe even join in. Discussions need people to fuel the fire. As for your profiles, if you don't wish for your identity to be made viewable, then don't put any personally identifiable information on it - simple as that.
