How Stain Removers Work? Have anybody thought about this. There are different chemical detergents and stain removers. Not all work on same principle. Share some you know...

The best stain remover that I know of, is bleach. It can only be used on whites though. I also use a color safe bleach but it does not remove stains like the bleach for, whites only, does.

well i have a vague memory from my high school days about my teacher explaining about how soaps and detergents work.. well i was too busy ogling some girls to pay any attention.. there was something said about detergents reducing surface tension of some sort.. guess it's the same with stain removers..

I have no idea how they work but I'm glad they do. My favorite is Shout for clothing and Resolve for carpets.
