I wouldn't think too hard about it. I mean, if you think the quality of your posts is up to your standards, that's for you to judge, I am sure you're doing fine and haven't broken any of the guidelines.

same here too, my referral told me its already an achievement that when i reach 100th post and get my star the rate was already on 8, he said it was really overwhelming especially that his star is stacked on 3,hehehe, even if he was more than 6 months on mylot already!!but now it doesnt affect me anymore that even if its 9 now but its flactuates into 93/100 that would just ok, it only motivates me to do more good and post quality discussions...happy lotting!!

We share the same feeling. Two days ago I lost my blue star but here I am still enjoying the site and the wonderful people here. I just hopoe this discussion will not be deleted since when I made mine (about this same topic) two days ago, I learned today that the discussion got deleted.

That is a good attitude to have. I have never really paid any attention to my star. I really wasn't even sure what it was even for until I read your post. :) Anyway, keep up the good posting and I'm sure your star will reflect that. Good luck.

That's a brave and perfect decision that you have done. It will just cause headache if you are going to think more about it than what it is suppose to be. And I would agree with you that it really ain't the best marker of our reputation here, instead I feel better whenever I receive a best response.

hi, bestie. it is still not clear to me what the star means :-) LOL! i just read another friend's discussion about a star where he said she has red star with the number 9. it was only then that i noticed i have a red star too. i just guessed that it means something but i really do not know what. LOL! i guess it does not matter to me too. i just start discussion and respond to discussions that i can relate too and that's it. have a nice day and take care!

As long as i enjoy the posts and discussions on myLot , it does not matter what the star rating it. Though everyone wants it to be higher , but i think posting thoughts and discussions is more important than thinking about the stars.

Hello my friend, i'm agree with you. That's the reason i allowed my star to go back to 1! So now i'm motivated enough to make something to let her grow up! And if she will not grow up, will be ok anyway. If i will lose my star, will be ok... nobody pay me to be a sheriff ;), and, anyway, i prefere the texas rangers star, the one inside the circle. Hi, there. I have the same feeling with you. Till now I am kind of newbie here, several days ago, I got 100 posts and got a yellow star of 8, and two days later my star became gray of 7. That time I felt upset, but now I get over it. And now I think having fun here is enough and do not care about the rating anymore. Having fun is the first thing, right?

Me too, if ever I have a star already, I dont mind it go up or down, as long as I enjoy being here at MyLot. We must not forget that we are all living in this ever changing world. I joined in Mylot two days ago. I like it. Although I have loss money from Mylot. I make some friend on Mylot. Aha,I also want to make money on Mylot.

yeah dont let your star rating going down bother you. from what i can tell it doesnt really make a difference in earnings..its more about popularity. so if you say something that offends a lot of ppl without actually violating a mylot rule, then ppl will give you a minus (even though they are NOT supposed to rate the discussion based upon whether or not they agree with you!) and eventually your star rating drops and essentially you are less popular. no big deal lol! its not like you have to be well liked or popular to be able to post and earn here on mylot, you just have to have quality and substance. i will admit that when i first got a 10 star i was pretty happy, and when it dropped to 9, i was kind of bummed. but when i realized how easily it could be influenced..and for petty and vindictive reasons..i stopped caring about it.

good for you for realizing that. i dont care that much about my rating i just log in at mylot and have fun. post post post. i learn a lot from here and i think i teach people in the way that i can teach them. i give my views as carefully that i wont hurt any one... and also watch my words. i dont want to hurt anyone with my words and my post. so just be happy learning and posting and earning. goodluck and happy mylotting

Atta girl, that is the way to go! That should be the way to go about in mylot. what matters most is the enjoyment you get from posting and socializing with the people here. It does not matter much the rating. It will fluctuate from time to time anyways. With so many discussions posted and replied, I am sure there will be some postings that do not sit well with some members. And these disgruntled members may give you a negative rating for it. As long as you post with a clear conscience, 9 or 10 is the same. That should be the positive way to look at your activities here in mylot!

I think the wonderful people at mylot should just banish those star ratings that are visible for all to see. That would solve a lot of problems. However, it would also mean there wouldn't be the need to write about this issue. lmao!

hello friend,yes, i think we shouldn't care about the star colour anymore on mylot.Because we couldn't control it by ourselves.because even though we try our best to do something well.but there are still people don't agree with our opinions.aren't they? for me, i have really fell tired to care about the color changes now.because firstly,i made a good efort to reach the blue star color before.but subsequently,it droped down to the red color.but i still tried to change it and made it higher again to blue.yes, i achieved it at that moment.but later, it again went down to red now..so it is really very anoying to me to change the colour again.so i just ignore it.and let it go.as long as i am happy with posting here,i don't care the star color anymore.lol keep moving,happy mylotting.

I think it's really time to stop looking at that star and the number beside our name here in myLot. You're right, we never know why our rating drops but all we must do is just enjoy our stay here. Let us keep on posting discussions and participate to other myLotters' discussions. If we keep on looking at the star, we'll just get disappointed if we see it dropping. But let us take it as a test as well. Let's just don't care about the star but keep on posting!
