I know somebody who is a prayerful man, Every move in his life he always pray but in deeds he is not a good example. In contrast I know someone also who is not too religious but I can say he is a good man, this made me perplexed, between prayer or having a good deeds.

I believe prayer must always be coupled with good deeds. In order for a prayer to be effective, the one who prays must be upright before God and men.As it is written in God's Holy Word, the prayer of the righteous avail much.

Prayer Life is Very important to a Christian, without Prayer A Christian cannot gain Victory. Prayer Brings Victory. Praying alone doesn't help a person but good deeds is also needed. The Bible says that we are the Salt of the world, we must live as an example to others. If Holy Spirit dwells in a person, then his life will be changed, only then he can live a Godly Life. Without Holy Spirit neither the prayer nor the good deeds will be rewarded. God Bless!

I think you should never compare prayer with good deeds. It's like comparing air with water on whichever is more important. Prayer and good deeds is like breathing air and consuming water. Both are needed in order to become a good person.

both prayer and good deeds are needed for a life to be a good soul. actually these two are interlinked, for a man to be a good person in society,he needs to be a social being doing good to everyone for that one must hav a little bit of ability and good concentration. the best way to produce concentration is having prayer regards shiv ram

Doing good deeds is way better than prayer. What does prayer do? You recite a prayer and than stand around and do nothing. Or you can get into action and commit a good deed and actually help someone. It doesn't take a genius to figure out which is better!
