Is love something that we just have to have? Is it the love shared with another person? Is it the love of God? Love of life? Of course we all need love, and we all want to share love with another person and is not love of God, which allows us to love life? As I get older I find that love comes in many different shapes and forms. Love is surley of God, and I would think that most people have many different loves. Love is not just sharing intimate times with you wife, girlfriend, spouse what have you. Love is also the joy of seeing others smile, sing, dance, and enjoying life. Love is the beauty of nature, the creatures God has given us, the rivers, mountains, trees and oceans. The love of children laughing, friends rejoicing, and the endless depths of knownledge available that contribute to how we precieve the journey of love. Sharing, listening, giving, patience, hope, understanding all attributes of love. Just my thought at the moment that yes love is something that I just have to have, and wish to share it with all, God is love and life.

Why is it that we need to get old to recognise the true meaning of love? Is it because we need to experience them in every form ? Love needs to be something that we have and most importantly something that we give. Thanks for sharing your wonderful thoughts.

Hey Old Man, That was beautiful, I completely agree with you. It sounds like you have a very rich life full of love in all its purest forms. Thank you for posting this and making me smile. Perhaps love is also making a strangers day a little better by sharing your mind. may God continue to fill your life with love. God Bless

Thank you I forgot something and that is the sky......look up always and you will feel the enormus love of the vastness of the sky. You can feel small or you can feel surrounded or even consumed but when you see a beautiful sky at night full of stars do you not just love it.

What wonderful thoughts and feelings! There sure isn't much that could be added to that, except perhaps to the title. We all are the sum total of our environments and experiences, maturing and growing as we absorb the nutrients that come from our lives. So, like a perfect flower, or fruit...you aren't old, you're ripe and delicious!
