Are you happy/sad in the family you belong to?What makes you happy/sad with your family? I think I belong to a happy family, although we are not rich. My father is just a carpenter and my mother is a plain housewife. We lack in so many things. I together with my siblings feels our mother's difficulty budgeting the money to sustain for our daily needs. Because of that, we try to help our mom even in simple household chores and never buy things which is not needed. Sometimes, when we commit mistakes they got angry with us and discipline us. Here in Philippines, parents discipline their child by means of beating them with a belt. But after doing so, they explain why they did such in a way that there is still the love. They just want us to learn because they love us. For me it is important for a family to have a bonding moment, a helping hand and support to each member and most especially faith in God.

I'm usually pretty happy with them. I wish they were a little more accepting and a little more okay with my career choice, but what do you expect. I live in the middle of PA with cows, corn, and nothing else. At times, I wish I wasn't the only artist in my family, but you can't have everything. Overall, I wouldn't trade them in except for my dad. I haven't spoken to my biological dad in over 10 years and have no plans to do so in the foreseeable future. I wish I could trade him in and get a real dad. Although, my stepfather did a pretty good job filling a role he never agreed to be assigned to.
