CIAO Members: How long does it take you to write a review?

Okay, this is also applicable to MYLOT users. How long does it take you to be able to finish writing up a review in CIAO or a discussion here in MYLOT? I've just finished writing a new review in CIAO a couple of minutes ago and it took me an hour to finish it. No breaks whatsoever. 1 hour of continuous typing and thinking. My average time is usually between 30 minutes to an hour and the longest one was about 3 hours. I just put a lot of effort on making my reviews worth it unlike during my first week there where I spend less than 15 minutes for every review, now I make sure to put more effort on it. Here on MYLOT, it depends on my discussion but most of the time I don't exceed 30 minutes in typing. I'm not saying MYLOT is easier cos I honestly have a hard time thinking what to write here especially when I'm starting my own discussion, I just don't know why CIAO takes up a lot of my time than here. How about you guys?

lol =D YEah, CIAO takes up alot more of my time for review as compared to responding to a discussion in mylot ^_^ BEcause most of the time, i will be responding with a minimum 4 line response, and thus it's much faster.. BUt in CIAO, i will always make sure my review is at least 120words to the max of 150.. lol =D So that i can provide a better review and most of the time, i might take about 10 minutes for something i'm very familiar with, and 20 mins or more, for music and movies.. lol

Hi kun2349! I don't think we're friends there in CIAO yet. Feel free to add me up and check out my reviews. I have the same username as what I have here. Anyway, 20 minutes is still a long time to be writing reviews but it's definitely worth it if you see the reads and rates that you get afterwards, right?

I've just started on CIAO, but it takes me about 30 minutes. I think it's also because English is not my first language, so the more technical words for the reviews are harder to find. But you're right that starting a discussion on mylot takes more time, because you really need to think about a subject, while the subjects for CIAO are fysically in my house! But since I'm new on CIAO: do you have any tips to use it fully?

Ciao! - The word ciao (pronounced "chaow" /t?ao/) is an informal Italian verbal salutation or greeting, meaning either "goodbye" or "hello".
Hmm... I never really timed myself when I write anything online. Maybe I should do that just to see how long I take to make up one posting on the net. Seems like CIAO is very popular money making tool for writing. I should seriously take a look at it as well. How long have you been with CIAO? How many reviews have you done with them? Is the money good?

Hi ahgong! If you want to join CIAO please feel free to PM me your e-mail address and I'll send you my link. :) Anyway, I've been with CIAO for over a month now and I've done 43 reviews as of today. The money is really good. I made more than $10 in 3 days and now, even though they lowered their pay for every review to $.25, it still is a high amount considering the fact that you get paid for every reads and rates your review make.

I generally write my reviews in about 10 - 20 minutes time, I prefer to keep is short so that others may have more keen to read it otherwise if you make your reviews very long some of them may skip and could not give enough time also to read our reviews

I'm no longer active in Ciao because I think after awhile of writing reviews, it kinds of feels boring. Sure the extra earning factor is there, but it gets me burned out quite fast too. I find answering discussions in mylot more laid-back, relaxed and I can just get involved as and when I like. Are you still active in Ciao though. Sometimes I just take a look at the site, but not really writing anymore reviews, really. Have a nice day...c;)

Yep, it really is long. It's the only "article" I've made with CIAO under Creative Writing and it's about my Dad. I checked out some of your reviews and you have a good start but a little improvement is still needed. Don't worry. CIAO members would give you advices regarding that.

yeah! Some CIAO members do give some advices to other members. Some also just drop by and have their comments and ratings without even reading the review. (and sometimes that includes me.. ^_^) Can I know your CIAO name so that can add you as my friend there.. And don't forget to rate and have some comments... i'll be doing it to yours too. ^_^ God Bless!

It really depends on how you're familiar with the topic. In Ciao and Mylot I find it easier whenever I write or posts discussions and topics about music and products that I owned compared to other stuff that I'm really not into but only have a slight idea about it.Usually my fastest is 10 minutes and the longest is 30 to 40 minutes.

About ten minutes, the only problem is that sometimes i don't know about what to write. It may take more time that her but they pay more FOR SURE.

Never more than 10 minutes on ciao, as long as I know what I'm talking about...
