It was a rainy sunday and we coulndt spend our time outdoors, and since my nephew is 10y old he is full of energy and we dont want him to spend the whole day on computer we had to figure it out what to do. So when he comes around we usually find something to do, this sunday we used water colors to paint. He doesnt like painting, he much rather play ball or something else, but this time he surprised me:) So here are the resluts: 1st one from the left is mine, the 2nd one was painted by my nephew and the 3rd by my mom Was a lovely day:) How do you spend days with your kids when you cant spend time outside? What do you do?

thank you :) I dont have my own kids yet, but I do spend a lot of time with my nephew, he comes around often as I always play with him and do all the silly things lol Of course if the weather allows us he prefers being outside playing football or whatever, but inside it is hard to find something that would be interesting for a 10y old. These are just these strange years when he doesnt want to act like a child anymore but on the other hand he still does :)

that's so nice of you, playing with your nephew... i just remembered when i was still single, i do play with my niece... and when her mom was not around, i do all things for her... and now, my kids do the same thing with their aunts, and uncles, they play Playstation 2 and PSP together... sometimes they go to the mall... :) it's really fun having kids around...

Your family is very talented and creative! For us, painting is always enjoyable, but there's also card games and board games. My husband likes to tell them stories that don't always come from a story book, and they like how each of them play a character in his stories. Another one would be to turn household chores into a game or a contest, where whoever cleans his/her room the most gets a certain privilege or even a star on his/her board. I like to do girlie things with my daughter sometimes, like painting nails, or fixing her hair. My son is more active, though, and usually plays games with his little sister that involve a lot of screaming and running around. There are a lot of suggestions on the internet about indoor games and activities you can enjoy with your kids.

Me and my 2 daughters usually just watch some rental movies together and then we're off to each other's computer afterwards. lol Sometimes we play scrabble and word games. Good job on the water-coloring thingy by the way. :D
