Is there a food served over the holidays that you dont like and will not eat? What is the food that you wont cook and will not eat no matter how it is served?

Well, there is ummmmm, no not that so it must be.... nope not that either, well it has to be......oh goodness I can't think of anything. hahaha I used to didn't like yams but a couple of years ago I tried them again after many years and now I will eat some with my meal. I am not a very picky eater unlike my husband and my youngest daughter. My youngest daughter is learning more and more now to try some of the things that she never did like and to her amazement she is liking some of them now just like me.

Cornbread dressing is the only way to go as far as I am concerned. We all love it and I always have to make two big pans of it and a big pot of giblet gravy. Is it Thanksgiving yet??? hehe

I always eat Thanksgiving dinner at my sister's house that is where the family gathers. And duck is one of the foods that she serves, I do not eat duck, I don't want no duck, the rest of the food is fine.

Surprisingly enough the only food served over the Christmas period that I can't eat and detest is Christmas pudding! I hate it, I find it far too stodgy, I can't even eat Yule log either! I love mince pies, although homemade are far more preferable, but even if it's homemade Christmas pudding I can't eat it!

A christmas pudding is like a cake full of currants which is moist and can have brandy in it, Yule Log is made of chocolate and cream, there are variants of both but that is generally what they are, both horrible in my eyes and stodgy, it was tradition to place a sixpence in a christmas pudding.

Thank you for explaining this to me. They do not serve that at all here and since you have told me it is bad, then I would not have liked it anyway...lol They do serve cheese logs and they are very common. The worst thing here is a fruit cake which usualy dosent taste very well at all...

Oyster dressing is the only thing I can think of. I like regular dressing, but not oyster.

Oh yuck, I can't stand oysters either. Thank goodness no one in my family like them either because they would have to bring and make their own or go eat it somewhere else. I also love the cornbread dressing.

My MIL has tons of cranberry sauce, because everyone in the house loves it, but i dont. My favorite is the turkey adn the stuffing, especially my MIL stuffing..omg its so good that i would eat it right now for breakfast if i could..lol. Oh and i dont like when she makes yams, she does that every other year or so for thanksgiving

I like yams. It depends on how they are cooked. I like them baked without all the brown sugar. I thouht they were just too sweet. Have happy holidays and appreciate the response.

Giblet gravy is my nemesis. I do not like it, and it may just be the idea that grosses me out, but I will not make it, serve it, nor eat it.

There is nothing I do not like. I will eat it all. I am thankful to be eating as pretty soon, America will not have all these luxuries of being able to pick and choose what we can and can not eat. I just thank the Lord we still can afford to put food on our tables. With the cost of prodcuce on the rise, being able to eat like we used to will be on the decline.

I have no doubt about you being right. I am seeing this in the stores and its just up , up, up with the prices. I wish President Bush would do something. I know that something has to be done very soon! Take care my friend, and appreciate the response!
