For those of you with school-age kids, what time do they usually do their homework (if they have any). I'm having a hard time figuring out when is the best time. My daughter and I have been having a lot of battles about getting it done lately.

I have my daughter do her homework as soon as we get home while her mind is still on school. I sit with her and help her if she needs it and it gives us some mother, daughter time before the others interupt.

Hello! My son too does his homework right when he comes home, I think that it has already developed as a routine so then I don't have any struggles with him anymore.

This is a hard one for me as well. I do home daycare so when my daughter gets home from school there are other children here who want to play with her or do a craft. It is hard to tell her she can't be involved with the fun activities going on because she has homework to do. Recently we have been doing it right after supper.

My school going son is 7 years old and he usually does his homework after he has a snack. He can't go out to play until he's done with his homework. This way, I have the time to help him out with home work (if he needs it) before I start cooking dinner and he doesn't have to worry that he doesn't get enough time to play with his friends. Works for us so far!
