Would you stop respdonding to someone's discussion if the views they espoused were different from yours ?.If your answer is yes what are the views that would result in that stance.Would they be personal views like an anti-gay or pro-gay stance or religious like whether they were muslim or hindu or just based on the sentiment on that particular issue in the discussion ?.

Hello, I guess that a discussion is supposed to be an opinions exchange. So maybe is useful answer and read the replies of someone that have differents point of view than ours. If we all say "white", the discussion will give us nothing, just our "auto celebration". If anyone exibit his own color, at the end of the discussion we will have much more "material" to review our own point of view. happy myLotting

If you're asking if I would start ignoring a person because of their views, the answer is definitely, "No." Well, I suppose someone's views could be so bizarre I could feel too scared to respond to them...but that hasn't happened yet. If you're asking if I've avoided responding to discussions that express a different point of view than what I hold, the answer is, "Sometimes." If the post is worded in a way that invites discussion or is misinformation, then I don't mind being the contrary voice in the topic. I do tend to shy away from hot topics like religion and politics, though; I'm interested in both subjects, but I don't really like the emotions that such discussions tend to bring out of people. Of course, the hot topics are very important topics and do need to be discussed...but I still feel OK about my decision to steer clear of them personally.

No, I always try to express my own thoughts on things. What's the point of having discussion if we all say something just because everyone else does? It doesn't mean we should always make contradiction arguments, but just express our own thoughts. Although people might not like it and then give us negative rates ^,^

Definitely not. Discussions should be two-sided, one is pro and the other anti. Even if you disagree with somebody else's opinion, it is still best to respond to the discussion share your opinions also and to make him know that you disagree.
