This has been a trying time for families and friends who have lost jobs over the last six months in America. The "Wall Street Crisis" has started trickling down to the Average American and they are losing there jobs everyday. Therefore, I am asking a personal question is how this "Wall Street Crisis" it is affecting your family and friends.

My family has been very lucky and no one has lost their job yet. However, my best-friend from high school lost their house in foreclosure, a neighbor is now only working 3 weeks a month and his wife lost one of her two part-time jobs. Another friend hasn't been paid in two weeks because the company can't make payroll. Another friend was just laid off a couple weeks ago and two co-workers that were laid off last Feb. are still looking. I read an article in Money magazine that predicted we could expect the stock market to start to rally in early 2Q of next year and to stop losing jobs by the end of 2009. That's a long time to wait it out without a salary.

Nobody that I know has been affected by it over the last six months. I think sometimes we major on the negatives.

It hasn't really effected anyone in my family so far (thank Goodness!)... My son has lost all of his overtime, which stinks for this time of year. I am sure it will be back after the holidays though. It is really sad the number of Americans who are unemployed and trying to find a job. I know that there are no jobs available around my town.
