Having a Sale in your Etsy Shop? Promote it in this Etsy thread....

Etsy is having another "Weekend Deals" promo this coming weekend & if you're running a sale, a buy one/get one free, offering free shipping or just giving away a free gift with every purchase, then you need to check out the thread in the Promo forum.
The thread was started by MaryMary, one of Etsy's admin members and she does an article in the Storque, featuring shops running weekend specials. I received a lot of traffic the weekend I was featured and even a couple of sales!
It's a great chance to receive some free promotions time!

Thanks for posting the link to Etsy. I will have to check it out later. Etsy is a great place to sell items but found it difficult to promote what I was selling. I probably left the site too soon and didn't give it enough time. Are you aware of any other site(s) similar to Etsy that will allow crafts for sale? Once I start a project I make loads of the same item, get bored with it and move on to the next item. Have an over abundance of Christmas coasters, etc. made approximately 2 years ago and would like to find a place that allows this sort of product. I would really appreciate any feedback you can give me.

Hi Carolbee! There is a new site, that I'm looking to join. It's called 1000 Markets and they're in beta-testing right now. It's a free site to join and like Etsy, they don't charge to have a shop. I'm still in the process of putting my site together and then I'll submit a few items and hope for approval.
Quite a few Etsy members have started pages on Twitter and Facebook. I don't know how they work exactly... I'm not sure if they link the pages back to their Etsy shop or sell directly from those sites, but you might like to look into those sites also.
