I love gift cards!! That way the person receiving them can pick out exactly what they want for themselves. Which is also the reason I love receiving them. :)

I love the gift cards, especially if one can use the card at any establishment. Definitely a stroke of genius in their creation.

I love gift cards too since I can pick out the item that I like in the store and I know the right size for me if it is clothing.

I like gift cars or cash better than gifts. This way here there is no exchanging and I can get something I really need/

I too like gift cards or cash that way you don't have to return something. If you know a person likes a certain store and you can get a gift card there, it will be easy for them to decide what to get with the card.

In my opinion, it's certainly much better to receive a gift card than to receive a recycled gift that you obviusly have not use for! (^_^)

I have never received a recycled gift. Did you? I would not want a recycled gift.

LOVE IT!!! The only good gift I EVER have received from my in-laws was a gift card. I begged my hubby to tell them to get me one instead of the usual crap (and I mean crap) they always get me.

I love them. Some say it's not a very 'personal' gift, and I see their side of the arguement, but I rather they give me a GC instead of trying to guess their way around into what I like.

I think they are a great idea - especially the visa or mastercard ones that can be spent anywhere

as long as they are not restricted to a specific store. american express gift cards are better. actually, cash is best.

I know some people don't like them, but I, personally, don't mind getting them. In fact, I think it's great because I can buy whatever I want. I'm always a bit wary buying them for others, though. Some find them impersonal and others will spend the money on others instead of themselves.

i give them to my mother and oldest son. they are hard to buy for. i do have small presents for them to open, but the larger gift is the card.

I always enjoy getting gift cards. My mother says that cash is better because if we give her a gift card there might not be anything at that particular business that she wants. I always figure that if someone gives me a card, I'll be able to find something for someone with it, even if not for myself. I appreciate the thoughtfulness of the gift and the fact that someone remembered me in this way.

I think that it is a very practical idea. Granted, it is far preferable to purvhase a suitable present for someone, but this is becoming more difficult because so many people now have all the things that they really need. The beauty of gift cards is that the recipient can choose what they personally want, rather than say Thank You and then put the present at one side and forget about it.

I actually prefer gift cards over regular presents, especially when it comes to giving them. Then you don't have to worry about the other person not liking what you give them.

as long as its a gift card to somewhere convient like walmart or something...remember one yr someone gave us 100 gift card for some place and we ended up getting a pair of gloves and a wallet for my husband thats all we could afford...so i would have rather had a card for walmart
