Does it make you cry?

I guess it depends on my mood when I'm watching it. Sometimes it makes me cry when Neil dies... for like the whole ten minutes leading up to it because I know what's going to happen.... And other times it's when Keating comes in to get his things and the whole class stands up on their desks chanting O' Captain, my Captain. What about you?

Not only does it make me cry every time I watch it again; it makes me determined to get all the best from every one of my students. I sort of renew the desire to light a fire under each kid, and to help them with more than just the suject matter. I care deeply about each of my students, and I think Keating's travails make me more willing all the time to fight for what's best for them. Of course, that often means I'm in trouble with administration, but these kids are well worth whatever it take.

That is a really cool story....er... I like that Keating is an example for you in your career. I have tried not "teaching" but I was a writing tutor for four years in college and through that I earned a great deal of respect for teachers. I couldn't do it.

Of course,I cried. When I saw the end of the film.Actually,I had been considering my own life for a long time. And this film gave me the courage to break the routine and just go my own way.Let others talk!
