Do you wear contacts?

I did wear them when I was in my late teens as wearing glasses definatly not "cool". However, back before they had the leave-in's I used to wear mine for too long and my eyes paid for it. One morning I woke up and I couldn't open my eyes they were absolutly raw. The optician said it was because I deprived my eyes of oxygen by wearing the contacts for so long as they were only 8 hr contacts and I was wearing them for double that daily. SO ever since then I have not worn them. My husband has tried to coax me into trying again. But I am ok w/ my glasses & they have cooler styles out than they did back then + I have good insurance now too ;)
How bout you did/do you wear contact?

I had tried once when i was a teenager. But i found that it's quite difficult for me to wear it correctly and it took me so much time on it. And most importantly i didn't feel that comfortable wearing it. So i just gave up and continue my glasses until now. 
Oh, it's really dangerous if you wear the contact lenses for such a long time. I remember there was a news about this. The person who wore the contact lenses and fall into sleep, then because of lack of oxygen, the person became blind. I didn't remember the whole story. But it really frightened me. 
And i have heard that you can't wear the contact lenses to BBQ.
Well, i think it's more convenient and safe for me to keep wearing glasses. Have a nice day.

I have tried on several occasions to wear contacts. I always go back to glasses. I am strongly nearsighted but if that is corrected I become slightly farsighted. As I give IV injections as a part of my job, I need to be able to get down close and see clear. Thus, it makes it hard for me to wear contacts.

Well, I am already 28 years old and I am lucky to still have 20/20 vision. I've noticed that some people wear contact lens for convenience. Some prefer to have eyeglasses. If ever I had to vision impairments, which I hope not, I'd choose to wear eyeglasses since contacts might cause some damages to our eyes.
