After seeing this movie, I had to stay put in the theatre for at least 10 minutes before I could get up to go and I walked all the way home instead of taking the bus or subway. I felt so awful and depressed after this movie and went straight home to a bottle of bourbon. However, I thought the movie was great. I just haven't been able to fully analyze it to the extent that I think I need to. I'm going to see it again, but I wanted to know what you all thought of the movie. Why was that damn house on fire?

I haven't seen it yet (won't be able to until it comes out on DVD), but I'm looking forward to it. I watched the trailer on the internet, and have heard good things about it. Philip Seymour Hoffman is one of my favorite actors, so that's part of the appeal, but I also like movies that are complex and very not-mainstream. I prefer films that are about character instead of action, so I have a feeling this one is right up my alley. It's probably also going to confuse a lot of people. Lucky you, to be able to see it on the big screen and not have to wait for the DVD.
