Boring Career Talk.

Have you ever attended any career talk before? Me and my colleagues have to hold a career talk for a group of university students. I am just sitting there in case the students ask questions. However, I find that the talk is so boring and I actually see someone is yawning. Well, if you have attended a career talk, how was your experience, was it inspiring? What do you think it should include to make it more interesting for students?

that student could be me LOL I find meetings and talks boring, although because I have a small business now I can't be bored or make people bored when talking about my business but as a talk host you should be able to come up with fun creative way of presenting your topic I am always shy talking in public so I never host anything in fact I will avoid it if I can

Most career talks are boring... and i don't remeber ever attending one that is really that interesting... so in the past... if ever i need to be in one... i just bring with me lots of candy... so i won't fall asleep... that would be rude and embarassing... but i sure hope those giving the talk would liven up the event...

Those are about the most boring things I've ever had to suffer through! Boring for the students as well as the staff. I still remember the first one I ever went to, but only because they served a bizarre punch. It was pink lemonade with ice cream floating in it, and it was truly awful, so there we were pretending to drink it out of these little glass cups with dainty handles, and looking around for a planter to pour the stuff in. Gosh awful!
