My friend, who is also disabled, is thinking of hiring someone to live with her as a full time assistant. But, as she doesn't need the lady to work on Christmas because she's going home to Alabama and she knows that I do need one so that I can go home to Pennsylvania, she said that the lady should work for me. My current assistant pointed out that I'm just her guinea pig. We are very similar people so she knows if the woman drives me nuts in a week the whole live-in situation won't work out. The woman is coming to meet both of us separately on Saturday. Well, I'm happy to help out provided the woman does not make me crazy. She had to laugh at my ad which my friend forwarded to her that said, "I don't need a mom. I already have one." She said anyone that independent sounded like someone she wanted to meet. Well, hopefully she'll work out for both me and Sam. I'm happy to be the guinea pig. Who knows, if the lady needs a few extra hours maybe she could come work for me. Have you ever been somebody's guinea pig? For what did you fulfill such a role?
