man sues a former fiancee over engagement ring...what legal and whats proper with engagement rings?...since ring is a conditional gift, regardless who, has the fault,if the engagement break up or if you dont get married, ita proper to women to return the ring to the man,no question ask....but what if you want to keep the ring?

If the guy gave the ring to his fiance, then the ring is not his anymore. But the girl should take care the ring.

I think the class thing to do is to let the woman keep the ring. She should have the choice of keeping it or giving it back. I don't understand why someone would keep an engagement ring of someone you don't want to marry. I just feel the classiest thing to do is to to not ask and in turn for the woman to return it. Legally, though, a woman has no right to it after the engagement is over. I've seen people go to court and the woman looses it unless she wishes to pay for it.
