I had my baby girl

After a long haul I had my baby girl on Saturday! I was induced because my daughter had liquid in her left kidney and they couldn't figure out if she was going to be fine when she got out or if something bad were going to happen when she came out. So they decided to induce me a week early. I went in on Friday evening for the start of the "induction" to soften the cervix. On Saturday morning they actually gave me the putocin (sp?) and broke my water. I did have an epideral but they had to put the babys heart monitor and my contraction monitor inside me cause the baby kept dropping on the monitor and they didnt know why cause it wasnt showing contractions so then they put the contraction monitor in and noticed I WAS having contractions and it must have been effecting baby cause it was whenever I had a contraction that the heartbeat would drop. Or so they were telling me... I dont know. Well the epidural didnt work for me once the contraction monitor was put inside me cause I felt the whole birth - contractions and all... The outcome was a wonderful baby girl that they say is doing great and they dont see any problems with her as of now. They never did an ultrasound of her kidney but because she is going to the bathroom okay, they arent too worried about looking at it now (unless something happens in the future) She was 7 lbs 4 oz and 19 inches and we named her Nevaeh Rayne

Congratulations on the birth of your baby girl. She is an average weight and so that is excellent. I am so pleased that now born she hasn't got a kidney problem. I think that the name Nevaeh Rayne is really unusual and lovely. I hope that the early days of caring for your new baby girl are going well.

Congratulations on your baby girl. I am sure everything will be fine with her. Now, you on the other hand, will be sleep deprived for what, 18 years. LOL
