fundraisers

at our church, our youth went on a missions trip to mexico last year and they had a mexican fiesta and sold crafts that they had made. i like the rent a kid thing, our youth have done that, had a garage sale, made a movie and sold it, that sort of thing, there are a lot of ideas if you put your mind to it.

At my church back in the day, we had a bid on youth day. People at the church bid on a youth. The youth agreed to do work (typing, gardening, what have you). Parishioners enjoyed bidding on the youth. The auction also acted as a fundraiser, people came to bid, were served cookies, and we passed a hat at the end of evening; we made $20 just from that event. Never mind the actual bidding. What is your youth group raising money for? we were trying to go on a mission to Mexico.
