Liberty Reserve - Liberty Reserve Scam email

It is just so funny when I wake up today and get a notice from Liberty Reserve that my account has been block. I checked out the message for whatever the reason why they blocked it and was so surprised to know that they block it because of numerous invalid log in attempts. The funniest thing is, I haven't attempted to log in there for more than 3 weeks already. So I know already that it is a SCAM. But I still do try it, copy/paste the link, and what I got is a processing request error. So not a surprise to know that it would result in error. I tried clicking on the link also just for fun using Firefox then the result is "reported web forgery". That just shows how good Firefox security is. So if anyone out there received such email, just delete it and don't follow what I've done I am just making some experiment with it and of how good is our internet security but DON'T risk your own.

I tend to get quite a few of these, frequently every day. More often than not, they're with companies I don't bank with, usually in the wrong country too.

Now that is just very weird to have receive this kind of email often. There are some emails too telling you that you won a lottery from this so and so place where you haven't been into and you never entered to a lottery in your life.

On the rare occasions when I do get something from a firm I actually use (PayPal more often than not) they tend to be sent to the wrong email address, and often in poor English.

I get that email about once a month. The strange thing is I have never even opened an account with liberty reserve, so I just ignore it. It is really not worth reading. Every time it appears in my inbox I delete it now.

Thanks Ms. D, I am too careful at this stage than before. I am only playing with it when I am not in my computer. Which on the other hand I would know that the security is very high and not easy to be infiltrated.

I also received a message like that last week. I just ignored it and they sent me another one this week. I'm not opening it until now. I guess I better delete it. I have so many sites which I joined in already and are spammed my many already. I just open the the email messages I know are legitimate. It's good I've read your discussion.

It is better not to open it up just like what I did because just several days ago, I got another one and I also got another one in my other email add.

i got the email and i just signed up for LR so i was worried, i read the email but luckily i did not reply or do anything to the email. i just check my LR and everything is fine in my account so i suspect that the email is a scam or con job trying to get you to reveal your account details.

As I said in the discussion, I am just trying to play around with it just to try our internet security if it functions well and to check Firefox itself if they live to what they have been saying and both did do a good job. I knew it already at first hand that it is a scam.
