If your cat gets dirty and you don't know how to wash him, try this method- Put both lids of the toilet up and add 1/8 cup of pet shampoo to the water in the bowl. Pick up the cat and soothe him while you carry him towards the bathroom. In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close both lids. You may need to stand on the lid. The cat will self agitate and make ample suds. Never mind the noises that come from the toilet, the cat is actually enjoying this. Flush the toilet three or four times. This provides a "power-wash" and rinse". Have someone open the front door of your home. Be sure that there are no people between the bathroom and the front door. Stand behind the toilet as far as you can, and quickly lift both lids. The cat will rocket out of the toilet, streak through the bathroom, and run outside where he will dry himself off. Both the commode and the cat will be sparkling clean.

Now now, I am sure your kids (if any) would enjoy rolling about in the litter box as much as your cat loves bathing in the toilet . Next thing we know you would be using your cat as a mop..... sorry I take that back, please ignore the last sentence. I love cats and would rather train my cats to go to the toilet and take a bath themselves.

I raised 4 boys, and I can assure you that, (if we had, had a litter box) My boys would have enjoyed rolling around in it. I've never seen a cat being washed in the toilet but it sounds like fun to me. I do remember once as a boy we got our cat drunk on whiskey laced with milk. It was hilarious watching him staggering around, and I'm sure he was enjoying his binging just as much as we enjoyed the results of it.

I do not think I could use this method myself. My cat did fall down the toilet as a kitten and lucky I was in the house to rescue him. I suppose he was very clean after that. Cats are very clean animals anyway. They are always washing their fur and cleaning their paws so resorting to this toilet method should not really be needed.

Well its intended, at the same time, to wash the toilet. It may sound rather in humane but cats are people too. A Cat is so sophisticated that he will do anything rather than get his feet wet. This washing technique would look good on most cats, as it would bring them down to our level for once.

OMG no!!! Don't believe that isn't hurting the cat. Maybe not physically, but keeping a cat trapped in a wet toilet has to do some psychological damage to it. How would you like to be trapped in a dark, wet porcelain bowl? On top of which, after the first or second time you do this, the cat will know what is up and will suspect you of doing this again everytime you walk towards the bathroom with it. This is abuse, and I seriously hope this is a joke.

In case of that I would put the cat and the tomato juice in the tub. I have had cats before, and have washed them both in the tub and the bathroom sink since they were kittens. They never did grow to like it, but you learn how to hold them down without hurting them after a while. I would rather take the chance of being bitten or scratched rather than to traumatize the cat by trapping them in a wet dark area.

Well if you laugh as you read this, its a joke, but if you frown and worry its a sad situation for both you and the cat. Supposing the cat had just been skunked, and came into the house smelling to High Heaven. The technique then, would be to dump a large can of tomato Juice into the toilet and carefully introduce the cat. Stand on the lid if you must, and let the cat wash himself in the tomato juice for a short time. Then flush him around a couple of times. I'm almost positive that he'd be as fresh as a ripe tomato, and as sweet as a hand-picked plum, as he tore out of the house to get the water out of his hair.

Hahahahahaha. I hope you don't mind, but we sent this off to my husband's son who is over in Afghanistan right now. It tickled his Dad's sense of humor and we think his son will get a kick out of it too. Let us hope no one takes you seriously.....

Seriously? Well I'm hoping they do. How else would you wash your cat?
