I frequent this buffet restaurant and with my check I get a fortune cookie and in today's cookie was this question. What do you think? Let's see if your answer matches mine, I'll share later.

How about both? But that would be in a perfect world where you could have love and money. If I had to pick one, I'd pick love. Money can be allright but it can be awfully lonely too. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG AND TRUST IN GOD**

Like the first the sixth is the same, I agree Both is the key to happiness and freedom and with out one you can be wealthy and lonely or poor yet rich in spirit. What is Love I think I have a discussion that asks that question... Time to dig through the archives...?

The exact quote of the fortune cookie was, "Love or Money or neither?" to which I answered Happy = Love or Money = Freedom or neither? Both... My response is I want Love and Money so that I can be Happy and Free...

I've never had much money but always plenty of love and I wouldn't change that.

We've always had a roof over our heads, enough food, heating and light, so yes we have enough. More importantly we've always had each other.

Not having much could be equal to having enough and so you never lost your love because the two of you worked together and know how to survive on just love alone making you very rich or wealthy indeed. I kind of think you actually have both... ;)

I prefer love over money but we have to have money to be able to survive. We cannot live on love alone these days.

I would prefer love, but money is more logical. I can buy comforts with money and I also need money for survival. I like my creature comforts. I don't like to be hungry, cold, dirty or homeless. So, in all actuality, I would choose money, but prefer love. If that makes sense.

Certainly, Money = Freedom for with money you can be free to do what you want and when you want to do whatever... Some people say that love makes you rich beyond your wildest imaginings but that is fantasy if your love doesn't work with you to help you as a partner. Of course I have had a bad experience and that is why I have so much to say on the subject and could make another discussion all about how not having a good partner can destroy your life.

Very interesting!! I've never had a fortune cookie ask me a question before! I could definitely see what someone would chose neither. Love can make you act very crazy! When you're in love, you don't always think about your actions! Love tends to make sane people act very irrationally! Money can also cause a lot of problems. I've seen so many families torn apart by money. People will even kill other people over money! Money is very much a necessity and having too little or too much can really make things difficult! However, life without love or money would not be enjoyable at all!!! So I'd have to chose love. Because if you don't have money, love can help make you feel better. But if you don't have love, money can't help make you feel better.

You are so right the love that you buy will not be sincere and will not feel real.

I prefer love to riches. For example, if you accumulate pots and pots of gold but you have alienated your love, what is the use of it if you do not have shoulders to cry on, love, fight and make up, start a new famil together. Togetherness is such a boon to be treasured. If you are together in love, it shall automatically give you inner strength to earn money to provide for your family. At the end of the day, you know that special someone is waiting for you after the hardwork of the day.

I just wish that your fantasy was real... Having thought I found love while making a family I found my family could destroy the love I had and my love was not true so there was no way to make the relationship work because there was a lack of trust especially when there was no encouragement to succeed. Constantly being put down is not being in love, even if she wants to say it the other way around, just because she says something doesn't make what she said true. True love is hard to find. True love will give you lots of energy. Of this many songs are created and of this we know...

I lean in your direction, I love to be loved and I know what love is not, that could be another discussion for another day... Now what did I put on the other side of that note and why?
