What a dissappointment

For 3 years I have been writing letters from santa to children who's parents/grandparents/relative/friend orders them. I usually do around 35 letters not including my nieces. I have not gotten one single order this year!! I love doing the letters and will miss it this year.
I am so dissappointed. I put out 100s of local advertisements and tons online and the results were nothing. I emailed all my previous years clients....nothing. I am still taking orders till December 15th but I am not holding my breath.
What a sad year this is.

I am sorry that you are not getting an orders this year. I know I do my own for my kids. I always have. It never made sense to me to pay someone else for something I could do. You may have troubles due to the economy. I know alot of people are giving up the little extras. I wish you luck thou.

I have always enjoyed writing the letters and I won't lie I have come to depend on that income for Christmas money.....there won't be any Christmas presents from me this year :(
I buy my daughter's Christmas present with my letters money each year.

I hear yeah! My family is in a tough pinch right now as well. We moved last month. Was robbed on top of that. Plus my husband just went to the ER last night for an abcess tooth. Because his work insurance does not carry any dental. So, we are dealing with getting the kids something while he reels in pain. Or assoon as teh anitbiotics start working getting him in to a dentist. Even then I am not sure much we can afford. As just having a dentist look without extras is 100 bucks right off the bat.

That is sad. I guess this ecconomy is hitting people harder than they realize, and that the "trimming" isn't something people are spending a lot on. I guess they are spending money on more "serious" things. A real shame, since your letters sound really cool. It would be nice if you would get an order or two, this year.

I have gotten one order for two letters and that is it. I will be finishing them today and mailing them out as soon as I receive pmt. It isn't much and no wheres near what I usually get but I'll take it.

I did end up with one order for two letters for a total of $15. If next season is not any better it will be my last year of doing them which is sad.

That's really disappointing, sweetdesign! But don't take it to heart. People might be poorer this Christmas and trying to spend as little as possible. Perhaps the next season would be better. So cheer up!

I hope in the last two weeks you have gotten some letters. I know with the economy parents cannot pay for letters and for gifts also.

Nope I got an order for 2 letters but the woman has as of yesterday not paid yet so I am just going to do my niece and 2 great nieces letters. She says she mailed the money order last monday but she lives in Archer FL and I live north of there in Jacksonville fl so if she mailed it it would have been here by now.

I am sorry you did not make the money you would have liked for the holiday season. Hopefully it will be better next year.
