I was riding the bus home and got on around the time school lets out. A lot of kids came on the bus without parents or guardians. They're very rude and loud for no reason. I was thinking. Most kids are in school for 6 hours a day. Some go to after school care of sports, or some activity. They go home and maybe see their parent(s) about 6pm-8pm. They eat with them and whatever. Let's say bedtime is 10pm. So, they've spent at most four hours of a 24 day with their parents. Do you think parents are raising their kids anymore? Or is society doing it for them?

I think too many kids get passed around to babysitters or daycare, but that is because the economy is terrible and in most houeholds, both parents need to work. I stayed home up until now, but I applied for an evening job in the Libray I used to work at that pays $12.49. The best part is, it's part time, so I can still spend a lot of time with my daughter, which is important to me.
