Hi! I have a son who´s 9 months and have blue eyes. My husband is "typically" scandinavian with blond hair and blue eyes. I´m dominican with all the mixture we have in in my country. I wonder when my sons eyes will turn brown (If he´s not going to be blue eyed). Here´s a picture of my son. Will he turn brown eyed and "when"?

He's probably going to keep them. Most babies eyes change before 9 months. One boy I knew, his eyes changed to brown at like 3 months old. My cousin had blue eyes and they changed at 6 months to like green. So, if they do change, it might not be to brown but I don't think they will. Cute baby. :)

Thank you for your answer :-) When Alex was born he had navy blue eyes but they turn light blue when he was around 6 months. But everybody says that his eyes must turn brown because I have brown eyes :-)

just because you have brown eyes doesn't mean he will have them. both of my parents had brown hair brown eyes and I have blonde hair blue eyes. your son might have just gotten a recessive gene, it's common and nothing to worry about ^^

No problem. My mom has green eyes, and her parents had blue and brown. My aunt had brown, but her husband has blue and my cousin has green.

Your son is probably going to keep his blue eyes. All babies are born with blue eyes but if they are going to change colour it happens between about 2or 3 months old. If your son's eyes are still blue then I think he's going to stay your blue eyed boy!

My eldest daughter was just over 2 before her eyes changed colour, they went from blue to a greeny brown. My youngest daughter's eyes have not changed and she is heading towards 3 now. Like everything baby it just depends on the child. Some babies don't change eye colour at all. All the very best for your family

your little one might keep them but it can take up to 2 years if they are going to change.

Most children's change by the time they are 9 months, however they can continue to change until up until the age of 2 years old. My daughters changed to brown by the time she was 6 months old...and many of my friend's who have children had the same experience.

Your baby is gorgeous just as he is. I doubt his eyes will change colour now. He looks to be a mix of you and your husband, perhaps witt some other family genes mixed in - all as it should be.

If they are still blue, they will probably remain so. I have brown eyes and my son has blue eyes. It's a recessive gene which can skip a generation. My father had the bright blue eyes in my family. My daughter though, got my brown eyes. I think he will keep those baby blues and become a heartbreaker when he matures! He's adorable!

You're going to have a blue eyed son for sure! Brown hair and brown eyes are dominant genes, but the recessive genes can creep in there. I have blonde hair and blue eyes, but I'm attracted to dark haired men. Both my children are blonde haired and blue-eyed. Someone told me that if anyone could make a recessive gene dominant, that it would be me. lol! Your next child could have dark eyes and light hair. Genes are interesting. From the pic your child looks adorable! Congratulations!
