I have mixed reactions on travelling.. I enjoy travelling if it is for a long trip.. I hate travelling by bus for work...

A lot depends on who you are travelling with, doesn't it! With the right companion(s) getting there really is half the fun.

agree! i love traveling on long leasure related trips. my company does not send me on very many trips but they are not very fun, usually only for 2-3 days at a time. by train or car and not to much free time for myself. now on the other hand, a 7 day all inclusive trip to barbados or D.R, now thats what im talking about! lol

Traveling for a vacation is fun but going to and from work can be mundane. A holiday might be to a different destination every year and so that would be exciting. However going to and from work is an every day boring event. I love traveling on trains but planes I use just for the speed. Bus trips can be lovely or uncomfortable.

How funny! DH and I were just talking about this a couple of days ago. It doesn't seem worth the hastle to go away for a few days anymore, even when it's local. For us a week is the bare minimum for local trips. For longer distance trips, we only want to go if we have 2-3 weeks.
