DH and I are planning a trip to Phoenix in mid January. We'll be staying in mid town and don't plan on renting a car. What are the must sees in Phoenix and can we get by without a car? We'll be visiting for a week. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I just saw "Men Who Stare at Goats" and while parts were funny, I really wasn't all that impressed. The last movie that I saw that I liked was Amelia although that may change next week when we see "Precious." My friends say that the movie is fabulous.

Usually. we go to the beach for the holidays because family is so far away. This year, we're going back hom, so we will be traveling from L.A.to Cleveland, Ohio. We're leaving on Monday and are going to stay through the 1st week in January. If I'm lucky, this will be the first white Christmas that I've had in over 30 years and the first white Christmas my husband has ever had. Have a great holiday

There is so much to see in D.C. that you will have a very busy 4 days. Definitely want to see the Capitol building and a session of Congress is worthwhile. I love the Lincoln memorial and the Jefferson monument. You'll probably want to see Arlington cemetary. JFK's grave site is very touching. I have the same question as the first tow posters. Are you talking about physical or emotional weakness? If you are talking about physical, my suggestions are to eat a balanced diet, drink 8 glasses of water a day, weight train three days a week, and do 30-45 minutes of cardio exercise a day. I've always felt that when I make a promise that I am putting my name and more importantly my integrity on the line. I take that very seriously and never make promises that I can't keep. If we don't have our integrity, what do we have to define who we are?

What you said is so true. The older that I get, the less I find the need for the material things in my life. I don't really want for anything because I'm happy with the things that I have. It's a much simpler happier life.

Wow! Why would you want to do that? In your post, you hit on all of the problems that there are in self publishing. You have to market and find a distribution channel by yourself. If you are determined to go down that path, yes, you would bear the expense of it yourself and unless you're willing to throw a lot of money at it, just the advertising alone could be an extraordinary expense. I would always choose exercise over a medical procedure. IMHO liposuction really doesn't do anything to improve your health, it is simply a removal of fat that we could all achieve if we're willing to work hard and discipline ourselves.
