I am trying to get verified for an AlertPay business account and they have asked for photo ID. Has anyone out there got an AlertPay account and did they have to provide photo ID. The only thing I have got is my passport, which has all kinds of information and in this day and age when we're all supposed to be extra vigilant about the kind of information we give out, particularly online, I'm a little uncomfortable about this. I want the account but I'm just not sure about the personal info I will be giving out. What do you guys think? Also, I have business accounts with Safepay and Paypal but they didn't want this kind of information. Your advice would be appreciated.

I am using Alertpay for a few of earn online segment. However, I do not see there is any need for me to upgrade into a business account as I can spend with it and I can get money with it. I can withdrawn to my local bank from it. No problem not being verified. So I guess I do not know. Heh. Sorry. But I do not see if there is any problem producing your photo ID and in your case, your passport as Alertpay is trying to verify further in order for you to move larger amount of cash, I supposed as a form of security. Cheers and hope you resolve your issue.

Hi arcideaco, thanks for your response. I guess I'm just being paranoid as there could be the potential for ID fraud.

Seek further clarification from Alertpay official feedback medium to prevent ID theft. If it was a mail to you all of the sudden, then check further. I would not know as I did not upgrade before. Cheers.

Alertpay asked for my ID too when I tried to verify my account. Unfortunately I don't have any one of those listed in their valid IDs. That's why I decided to use paypal straight on.
