I am recently using a Samsung HD and I am satisfied with the performance. I had also use Western Digital, Seagate and Toshiba. How about you? What brand are you using?

I'm pretty loyal to Seagate ever since. It has been pretty stable for me and I haven't had a failed hard drive as of yet. Might be just dumb luck, but then again, I'm not going to mess with that type of luck that I have by choosing another brand.

Seagate is still the brand to use when it comes to HD because it is the brand that most of us knew. Seagate is as history as with computers. Good Day!

I have used both western digital and Samsung hard disk. When I was using a normal ide hard disk then I bought a Samsung hard disk and it worked well and then when I was looking for a sata hard disk I got a western digital hard disk and both are very good and reliable. Well yes he western digital hard disk I think is a bit delicate then Samsung as one of my friend got a problem as he use to shift his computer, so his reader started to make sound and they computer use to restart. But I never faced such a problem with western digital. And about Samsung, well now I use the 120 gb hdd as a usb drive and it never caused any problem. So personally I am happy with both, but still if you ask me I may prefer Samsung as it is widely available and service center is very near to my house.

I'm using Seagate but my other Seagate mysterious stopped working. It won't install Windows no matter how hard i tried. I always get this "Inset Boot Disk" error. I don't know how it happened. It formatted well .

I like Seagate when it comes to Hard Disks.. I presently use 2 hard disks. Obviously, one as primary and the other as slave. My Seagate had problems already and so I made it secondary. And then bought a Samsung 80GB and now, I have problems with Booting, coz the Hard Disk has Bad Sectors, though 2 years have passed since purchase.. :) Both are Good.. Western Digital (WD) is a new comer yet rocks in Storage!! My Preference 1. Segate 2. WD 3. Samsung Happy MyLotting..

I personally prefer Seagate for its well known performance to price ratio. It out performs any other hard drive in its segment easily. I am an Indian and here in India seagate has a terrific after sale service so i dont look at any other brands while purchasing a new hard drive.
