First check your BIOS version. Your bios basically decides the hard disk support, so the most recent bios should have the support for the most recent hard disk out there. Check on the Intel's website for the updates about BIOS, Update your BIOS once you purchased the hard dive and you are good to go. Do let me know how it worked for you. Take care.

If you are located in India, I would recommend Dell as it has the best after sale service. Now it might sound stupid, But in case of a Laptop it is one of the most important aspect because if anything goes for a toss the user can not just open the case and fix the issue as it would have been in case of normal assembled machine. On the other hand brands like Acer is also making its mark ...
